lab testing

the only way to be sure a product is safe, legal, and accurately dosed is through lab testing. at hive & mind, we run double-testing on all of our products. meaning the individual ingredients in each product are tested by our manufacturer as well as the final product.

when a sample is tested, the lab provides a lab report or Certificate of Analysis (COA), that details what exactly is in the sample.

all of our COAs can be found by clicking the link below or on each individual product page. if you are having trouble finding a COA or have questions regarding a lab report, please contact us at contact@hiveandmind.com

    lab testing FAQ's

once we produce a batch of product, it is time to conduct a lab test. we send a sample to a 3rd party lab for testing. depending on the lab, there are a variety of tests that can be performed:

    • potency test: determines the level of cannabinoids (CBD, THC, etc.) present in a product
    • terpene test: measures the levels of various terpenes in a product
    • contaminant test: checks for the presence of contaminants in a product (pesticides, heavy metals, microbial contaminants)
    • residual solvent test: checks for the presence of residual solvents in a product
    • foreign matter test: checks for the presence of any foreign matter or physical contaminants in a product

we believe that lab tests are not only important, but essential to maintaining the quality & integrity of our products. through lab testing, we can make sure our products are actually free from harmful agents.

lab testing also helps you, the customer! with so many different brands to choose from, it's hard to distinguish who is actually a clean brand. the best way to determine this is by looking at the lab tests yourself. if a brand is not proudly displaying their lab reports, they probably don't want you to know what they're putting in their products. and chances are, their products don't always contain what's advertised.

at hive & mind, we maintain a higher standard of safety than the rest of the industry. which is why we conduct what we call "double-testing".

during the manufacturing process, our product is tested twice. first, the raw ingredients we receive into the lab are tested on their own. then, once production is finished, we test the final product again.

we provide all of our final test results on each of our product pages. if you are looking for individual ingredient testing email us at contact@hiveandmind.com
