our promise

hive & mind was founded by a group of cannabis consumers, so we understand how scary the market can be. full of products littered with fillers, contaminants, & other ingredients you've never heard of. so, when we began crafting our products, we made a promise to be transparent with every ingredient inside. we want you to have access to the information & research we used during this process, as well as understanding why we chose each ingredient.

so, we made our ingredient glossary as a way to give this information to you, so you can make an informed decision about your purchase. if you have any questions about our products or ingredients, don't hesitate to reach out to our team at contact@hiveandmind.com.

cannabinoids

we never use converted or synthetic cannabinoids

CBD

CBD (cannabidiol) is a naturally-occurring compound found in hemp & cannabis plants. unlike THC, CBD does not produce intoxicating effects. instead, it is used for more medicinal applications such as:

  • relaxation & stress relief
  • reducing inflammation
  • improving sleep
  • improving mood
  • pain relief
  • and more

it's important to remember that although it's not intoxicating, some CBD products can still have trace amounts of THC in it (which means it can show up on a drug test).

if you're looking for a completely THC-free product, make sure it contains broad spectrum CBD or CBD isolate. you can also verify if a product is THC-free by looking at the lab results.

CBG

CBG (cannabigerol) is a naturally-occurring compound found in hemp & cannabis plants. CBG is often referred to as the "mother cannabinoid" because it serves as a precursor to other cannabinoids like CBD & THC.

CBG has been gaining popularity recently for its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, & neuroprotective properties. research on CBG is still in early stages, but it is mostly used for:

  • mood regulation
  • gut & digestive health
  • pain & inflammation relief
  • neuroprotection & neuropathy

similarly to CBD, CBG is non-intoxicating, but products can contain trace amounts of THC that would show up on a drug test.

CBG is also known for its contributions to the entourage effect, where it can enhance the effects of THC & other cannabinoids when combined.

DELTA 9 THC

Delta 9 THC, is the primary psychoactive compound that is naturally-occurring in hemp & cannabis plants. it is well-known for producing the "high" typically associated with marijuana use.

while Delta 9 THC is known for it's intoxicating effects, it also has a large potential therapeutic benefits. it is used for a wide range of purposes such as:

  • recreation (fun)
  • pain relief
  • nausea reduction
  • appetite stimulation
  • improved sleep
  • mood improvement
  • anxiety relief & relaxation
  • symptoms related to cancer.

so how is this even legal? in the U.S., hemp-derived products are legal as long as they contain less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC on a dry weight basis. all of our products at hive & mind fall under that 0.3% as shown in our lab reports.

THCA

THCa (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is a newly emerging cannabinoid that is a little tricky.

in it's raw form, THCa is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid in hemp & cannabis. but, when THCa is "activated" through heating, burning, vaporization, etc., it converts into THC, which then produces psychoactive effects.
