CBD (cannabidiol) is a naturally-occurring compound found in hemp & cannabis plants. unlike THC, CBD does not produce intoxicating effects. instead, it is used for more medicinal applications such as:

CBG has been gaining popularity recently for its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, & neuroprotective properties. research on CBG is still in early stages, but it is mostly used for:

• gut & digestive health
• pain & inflammation relief
• neuroprotection & neuropathy

similarly to CBD, CBG is non-intoxicating, but products can contain trace amounts of THC that would show up on a drug test.

CBG is also known for its contributions to the entourage effect, where it can enhance the effects of THC & other cannabinoids when combined. this is how we utilize CBG in our cannabis chocolates.

Delta 9 THC, is the primary psychoactive compound that is naturally-occurring in hemp & cannabis plants. it can be found in our honey & chocolates, and is well-known for producing the "high" typically associated with marijuana use.

while Delta 9 THC is known for it's intoxicating effects, it also has a large potential therapeutic benefits. it is used for a wide range of purposes such as:

• recreation (fun)
• pain relief
• nausea reduction
• appetite stimulation
• improved sleep
• mood improvement
• anxiety relief & relaxation
• symptoms related to cancer.

so how is this even legal? in the U.S., hemp-derived products are legal as long as they contain less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC on a dry weight basis. all of our products at hive & mind fall under that 0.3% as shown in our lab reports.

THCa (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is a newly emerging cannabinoid that is a little tricky.

in it's raw form, THCa is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid in hemp & cannabis. but, when THCa is "activated" through heating, burning, vaporization, etc., it converts into THC, which then produces psychoactive effects. try performing this conversion with our THCa flower.

Maca Root is a vegetable & superfood that is has applications from cooking to potential health benefits. we prefer to use it in our chocolate. Maca Root is commonly used to:

• boost energy levels
• improve mood
• increase libido and/or fertility
• improve memory & cognitive functioning

we use organic coconut oil in our chocolates for texture & flavor purposes. it allows us to provide a more enjoyable experience in all aspects of taste, texture, & effect. we also use coconut oil to enhance the fat solubility in our products for better absorption, so you can feel more effects.

fun fact: coconut oil is what makes the swirly pattern in our THC chocolates!

hemp extract is the concentration (usually in an oil) of cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, & any other elements of the hemp plant that is processed into a form that is suitable for consumption.

when you see hemp extract in an ingredient list, it is usually a combination of the cannabinoids listed on the label of the product.

maltodextrin is an emulsifier we use to make sure any distillates or active ingredients (such as THC or CBD) we use are properly mixed in the formula.

in other words, it allows the ingredients in our products to blend together properly.
